How Much Does Roof Cleaning Cost in Long Ashton?

The cost of roof cleaning in Long Ashton depends on the size of the roof, how much growth there is and how easy the roof is to reach.

The main things that affect the price are:

  • The size of the roof
  • The height and pitch of the roof, and the access needed
  • How much moss and growth has built up
  • Whether the roof is tiled or slated
  • Whether the gutters are being cleared as part of the job
  • The volume of moss and debris to take away
  • Tree cover over the roof, which usually means heavier moss and more debris to clear

Every roof clean is priced after a free survey, and you get a clear, fixed price in writing before any work starts.

Roof Moss Removal in Long Ashton

Roofs under or near trees in Long Ashton often have moss across whole slopes. We remove it from the tiles and ridges and clear the debris away.

Soft Washing

Soft washing then cleans the roof at low pressure, lifting the green staining that tree cover leaves behind without a high-pressure jet.

Roof and Gutter Cleaning

Between leaves and moss, gutters in Long Ashton fill quickly. We clear the gutters and downpipes as part of every roof clean.

Why Moss Is Worth Removing

Under trees, moss and leaf litter keep tiles damp for much of the year and block the gutters. Clearing them helps the roof dry out and drain properly.

Roofers, Not Just Cleaners

Because we are roofers, we look at the tiles, ridges and flashings while we are on a Long Ashton roof, and if we spot a problem we will tell you and can put it right.

Roof Cleaning Questions

Anything not covered here, just ask. We would rather answer a question now than have you guess.

01275 401327

Will roof cleaning damage my tiles?

We clean using soft washing, a low-pressure method, rather than blasting the roof with a high-pressure jet. As roofers, we know how to work on a roof without damaging it, and if we find a tile or slate that is already cracked or loose, we will tell you.

How long will my roof stay clean?

It depends on the roof. Shaded and north-facing slopes, and roofs near trees, tend to grow moss back sooner than roofs in the open. We can talk you through what to expect for your roof at the survey.

Do you clear the gutters as well?

Yes. Moss that comes off the roof ends up in the gutters, so we clear the gutters and downpipes as part of every roof clean.

Do you need scaffolding?

It depends on the height and shape of the roof. Where scaffold is needed, we use our own, so there is no waiting on a hire company.

Do I have to pay anything up front?

No. You get a full written estimate before we start, and you only pay once the job is finished and you are satisfied with it.

What guarantee do I get?

Every job carries a ten year guarantee, which we give you in writing when we sign the work off.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Surveys and quotes are free and there is no obligation. You get a clear written price before any work starts.

How much does roof cleaning cost?

It depends on the size of the roof, the access and how much moss has built up. The cost section above sets out the main factors, or call us for a free survey and a fixed written price.
