Roof Cleaning Stoke Gifford

Stoke Gifford's estate roofs, mostly concrete tiled, collect moss and lichen over the years, especially on north-facing slopes. Roof cleaning in Stoke Gifford clears the growth and leaves the roof tidier and better able to shed water.

We have been roofing since 1993 and Stoke Gifford is part of our patch. Every roof clean includes a free survey and a fixed written price, is covered by a ten year guarantee, and you pay nothing until it is finished and you are satisfied.

How Much Does Roof Cleaning Cost in Stoke Gifford?

The cost of roof cleaning in Stoke Gifford depends on the size of the roof, the amount of moss and whether a garage roof is included.

The main things that affect the price are:

  • The size of the roof
  • The height and pitch of the roof, and the access needed
  • How much moss and growth has built up
  • Whether the roof is tiled or slated
  • Whether the gutters are being cleared as part of the job
  • The volume of moss and debris to take away
  • Integral or attached garage roofs cleaned at the same time

Every roof clean is priced after a free survey, and you get a clear, fixed price in writing before any work starts.

Soft Washing

Soft washing then cleans the concrete tiles at low pressure, lifting grime and staining without a high-pressure jet.

Roof and Gutter Cleaning

As part of the job we clear moss and debris out of the gutters and downpipes on Stoke Gifford homes, so rainwater drains away properly.

Why Moss Is Worth Removing

Moss holds water against the tiles and, once it washes down, blocks the gutters. Clearing it keeps the roof and drainage working as they should.

Roofers, Not Just Cleaners

Because we are roofers, we check the tiles, ridges and verges while we are on a Stoke Gifford roof. If we see a problem, we will tell you and can put it right.

Roof Cleaning Questions

Anything not covered here, just ask. We would rather answer a question now than have you guess.

0117 905 9458

Will roof cleaning damage my tiles?

We clean using soft washing, a low-pressure method, rather than blasting the roof with a high-pressure jet. As roofers, we know how to work on a roof without damaging it, and if we find a tile or slate that is already cracked or loose, we will tell you.

How long will my roof stay clean?

It depends on the roof. Shaded and north-facing slopes, and roofs near trees, tend to grow moss back sooner than roofs in the open. We can talk you through what to expect for your roof at the survey.

Do you clear the gutters as well?

Yes. Moss that comes off the roof ends up in the gutters, so we clear the gutters and downpipes as part of every roof clean.

Do you need scaffolding?

It depends on the height and shape of the roof. Where scaffold is needed, we use our own, so there is no waiting on a hire company.

Do I have to pay anything up front?

No. You get a full written estimate before we start, and you only pay once the job is finished and you are satisfied with it.

What guarantee do I get?

Every job carries a ten year guarantee, which we give you in writing when we sign the work off.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Surveys and quotes are free and there is no obligation. You get a clear written price before any work starts.

How much does roof cleaning cost?

It depends on the size of the roof, the access and how much moss has built up. The cost section above sets out the main factors, or call us for a free survey and a fixed written price.
