New Roofs Stoke Gifford
Stoke Gifford has grown a great deal over recent decades, from its older village core to large later twentieth century estates and newer developments such as Harry Stoke. Most roofs are concrete tiled, and on the older estates the original roofs are reaching the age where underlay and battens have perished and a new roof makes more sense than another repair.
We have been roofing since 1993 and Stoke Gifford is part of our patch. A new roof includes a free survey and a fixed written price, is covered by a ten year guarantee, and you pay nothing until it is finished and you are satisfied.

How Much Does a New Roof Cost in Stoke Gifford?
The cost of a new roof in Stoke Gifford is set after a survey. Estate homes are often similar in design, but the condition of each roof and its timbers varies.
The main things that affect the price are:
- The size and pitch of the roof
- The type of property, whether a terrace, semi, detached house or bungalow
- Tile or slate choice, and whether it is being matched to a period property
- The state of the timbers once the old covering is off
- Access and scaffold requirements
- Any extras such as new flashings, insulation or rooflights
- The volume of waste coming off the roof and its disposal
- Replacing original mortar-bedded ridges and verges with dry-fix systems as part of the re-roof
No two roofs are the same, so we price each job on its own after a free survey, and you get a clear, fixed price in writing before any work starts.

What's Included in a New Roof
- A full strip of the old covering, felt and battens
- Inspection of rafters and timbers, with any rot replaced
- New breathable underlay and treated battens
- New tiles, or natural and fibre-cement slate, to suit the property
- Ridge, hip and verge finished with dry-fix systems where suitable
- New flashings around chimneys, valleys and abutments
- Scaffolding erected, inspected and taken down
- The site cleared and all waste removed
- A ten year guarantee in writing, with nothing to pay until you are happy
Tiled Roof Replacement in Stoke Gifford
Concrete interlocking tiles cover most of Stoke Gifford's estates. We strip the old roof, replace any rotten timbers, fit a breathable membrane and treated battens, and lay new tiles, with dry-fix ridges, hips and verges where suitable so there is no mortar to maintain.

Slate Roof Replacement
Slate appears on some older properties around the village core and on homes built with it. We re-roof in natural or fibre-cement slate to match the property, with new flashings where needed.

New Roofs on Period and Conservation Area Homes
Most Stoke Gifford homes are modern, so a like-for-like re-roof normally counts as repair and maintenance. Around the older village core, we will flag it at survey if a conservation area or listed building applies. On estates we match tiles so the roof sits well alongside the neighbours.
