Roof Repairs Tetbury

Tetbury is a Cotswold market town, known for its Market House and its streets of honey coloured stone buildings. Much of the centre is a conservation area, and many older roofs are steep and complex, with dormers, valleys and chimney stacks. Around the edge of town, newer homes have modern tiled roofs. Roof repairs in Tetbury call for care with older materials and a proper eye for where water gets in.

Tetbury is part of the area we cover from near the Bristol and Bath border. Every repair includes a free survey and a fixed price in writing, comes with a ten year guarantee, and you pay nothing until the job is finished and you are happy.

How Much Do Roof Repairs Cost in Tetbury?

The cost of a roof repair in Tetbury depends a great deal on the building. Older stone properties with steep, complex roofs usually need more planning than a newer home on the edge of town.

The main things that affect the price are:

  • What is actually causing the problem, which the survey confirms
  • The roof covering, whether tile, slate or a flat roof
  • The height of the property and the access and scaffold needed
  • How far any damage has spread, particularly to battens, underlay or timbers
  • Whether chimneys, valleys or flashings are involved
  • The pitch and complexity of older Cotswold roofs, and whether the property is listed or in the conservation area

You get a clear, fixed price in writing before any work starts, and the survey and quote are free with no obligation.

Roof Leak Repairs in Tetbury

On Tetbury's older roofs, water often gets in at valleys, around dormers or where flashings meet chimney stacks. On newer homes, cracked tiles and lifted flashings are more common. We trace leaks inside and out, so we fix the real cause.

Slipped, Cracked and Missing Tile and Slate Repairs

We replace slipped, cracked and missing tiles and slates, matching them to what is already on the roof. In a town with Tetbury's character, a repair should not stand out. Even a single tile is worth a call.

Ridge Tile Repairs

Mortar-bedded ridges on older and newer Tetbury homes crack and loosen over time. We rebed and repoint them, and where suitable fit a dry-fix ridge system. On historic buildings we discuss the right approach before we start.

Flashing and Valley Repairs

With dormers, valleys and chimneys common on older Cotswold roofs, there are plenty of joints for flashings to protect. We repair and renew flashings around chimneys, valleys and abutments across Tetbury.

Storm Damage and Urgent Roof Repairs

When storms damage roofs around Tetbury, we prioritise leaks that are letting water in. We book you in, make the roof safe where needed, then complete a lasting repair using our own scaffold.

Repair or Replace?

Caught early, most roof problems in Tetbury are repairs. If the survey shows the roof has reached the end of its life, we explain what we found and set out the options in writing.

Roof Repair Questions

Anything not covered here, just ask. We would rather answer a question now than have you guess.

0117 322 4967

Do you charge for a roof repair quote?

No. Surveys and quotes are free and there is no obligation. You get a clear written price before any work starts.

Will you replace just one slipped tile?

Yes. No job is too small, and a single slipped tile is worth putting right before it lets water in.

How quickly can you come out to a leak?

We prioritise leaks and storm damage that are letting water in. Call us and we will get you booked in and, where needed, make the roof safe quickly.

Will the replacement tiles match my roof?

We take care to match the size, colour and profile of replacement tiles and slates to your existing roof, so the repair looks right against the rest of it and against your neighbours.

Does buildings insurance cover roof repairs?

It depends on your policy and on what caused the damage. Many policies treat sudden damage, such as a storm, differently from gradual wear and tear, so check your policy wording or speak to your insurer. We can give you a clear written quote for the repair.

What guarantee comes with a roof repair?

Every job carries a ten year guarantee, which we give you in writing when we sign the work off.

Do I have to pay anything up front?

No. You get a full written estimate before we start, and you only pay once the job is finished and you are satisfied with it.

How much will my roof repair cost?

It depends on what is wrong, the roof covering and the access needed. The cost section above sets out the main factors, or call us for a free survey and a fixed written price.
